This has been a short season of tris but it sure has been exciting. I have done 2 Olympics so far and one sprint. I have also done a lot of kitesurfing and some running in training. I did my first Olympic tri in The Cape the Heroes in June, that was so much fun to bike in the air force space. The swim was great on a lovely lake and completely smooth. I always want to stay longer when I exit. The July tri was a great tri in the fantastic island of Nantucket where I took a wrong turn on the second loop on the bike and crashed and hurt myself pretty badly but continued, finished last but I finished and again the swim was fantastic, what an amazing open water swim in the Jetties. I went kitesurfing in the island after that anyway with my fellow triathlete and kitesurfer host. I had a blast. August was a delight to race the sprint Boston tri race. I felt very well in the race 7th on my division and the swim was superb, no anxiety like all last year, I got my mojo back ๐ I can’t wait for the last Boston tri of the year This month in Nantasket. Boston tri was my first tri experience as a volunteer in 2009 and Nantasket my second tri but first ocean swim and barefoot race run in the beach on a rainy day 2009. By far the most exciting fun I have had back then. So it’s very fitting that itโd be my last in Boston as I embark on a journey to Europe to tri and train there.
Ya learn soteihmng new everyday. It’s true I guess!
